Astea offers several Partner Program relationships to meet the needs of different types of partners. Partners are able to evolve from one type of relationship to another without loss of investment.
Sales Agents (SA)
For organizations that primarily resell Astea International, Inc. software without adding product or service value. SA?s serve in designated Vertical Markets or are based upon a unique technology-based position. SA?s are supported through business development but are required to initially invest in Astea International, Inc. product and sales training. SA?s may be compensated through with a ?Finder?s Fee? or receive commissions for Astea International, Inc. software licenses that are sold.
Value Added Resellers (VAR)
For Solution Partners who integrate layered products on top of Astea International, Inc. software and sell both components as part of the end user solution. A VAR?s product/services offering must add 30% or more value to the overall customer solution. VARs, for the most part, should sell and support their end users without assistance from Astea International, Inc., although Astea International, Inc. is prepared to help out if necessary. VARs make an initial investment in Astea International, Inc. products and services. Discounts for resale of Astea International, Inc. products are based on a progressive volume schedule.
